Athens Area Stand Down
Friday, October 2, 2026 | Athens County (Ohio) Fairgrounds | 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Register here as a service provider or volunteer this year!
We will provide tables and chairs this year.
Service Providers upon arrival will go over the hill and down to the Noah Cox Pavilion to unload.
Volunteers can park on top of the hill or in the field and register at white Jr. Fair Building upon arrival.
Thank you for the Donation of New Items!
Please email us if donating more than 25 of any single item (e.g. a box of hand warmers/gloves/detergent)
to let us know of what items so we can update our wish list accordingly.

Schedule for Annual Athens Area Stand Down
First Friday of October
@ Athens County Fairgrounds
Participant Registration & Service Provider set up starts 8:30 am
Opening ceremony is at 9:45 am (Welcome, Presentation of Colors & Proclamation) at back of Jr. Fair Building
Veteran Participants enter 10 am - Noon.
Veterans and community members enter Noon - 2 pm.
Event concludes at 2:00 p.m.
Clean up 2 - 4 pm
Free lunch and water donated by the Patton School of Education
Additional Water donated by Southeast Beverage Company
Coffee donated by Court Street Coffee
